כן... כן ... הכותרת נכונה. חשבתי לשתף במשהו שלא רואים כל יום : לפני מספר שבועות ,הגיעה אלינו Q5 AUDI להחלפת תוכנה ושדרוג מגדש העל. לאלו מכם שלא יודעים,מגדש העל (המכונה סופר צארג'ר) הוא מעין מדחס אוויר ,המופעל ( בדר"כ ) ע"י רצועה ותפקידו (בדומה למגדש הטורבו) לדחוס אוויר למנוע ולהעלות את ההספק. הרעיון העומד מאחורי החלפת הפולי ( זו הגלגלת המותקנת על ציר המדחס) הוא שככל שהמגדש יסתובב מהר יותר,כך הוא ידחוס יותר אוויר למנוע ויעלה את ההספק. החלפת הפולי לקטן יותר ,תגרום למדחס להסתובב מהר יותר ובכך כאמור-להעלות את הגדישה ואת הספק המנוע.
בין רשימת הכלים הנחוצים לביצוע המשימה ,הופיע גם טוסטר אובן ,מהסוג שנמצא אצלנו במטבח ומשמש לחימום הפיצה של אתמול... בהתחלה חשבתי שאני לא מבין את ההוראות אז קראתי אותם שוב ושוב ושוב.... מסתבר ,שבכדי לחלוץ את הפולי הישן ,פיתחו ב AWE (יצרנית הפולי המשופר ) מכשיר חליצה יעודי , אך בכדי להלביש את הפולי החדש במקומו ,נזדקק לטוסטר אובן... בהוראות נכתב: לאחר חליצת הפולי הישן , יש "לאפות" את הפולי החדש בתנור חם (200 מעלות) כחצי שעה לערך ולאחר מכן פשוט להשחיל את הפולי החדש למקומו בעזרת כפפה נגד חום,להמתין שיתקרר וזהו... מסתבר ,שהחום הגבוה השורר בתנור האפיה גורם למתכת ממנה עשוי הפולי, להתפשט ולהתרחב וכך ניתן להשחיל אותו למקומו . כאשר הפולי מתקרר הוא מתכווץ חזרה לגולו המקורי וחובק בחוזקה את ציר המגדש. טוסטר זה לא משהו שרואים כל יום בארגז של מכונאי.....
תודה ! מדהים לגלות שגם כאן אפשר לרתום את הפיזיקה ולהשתמש בה בפשטות ובחוכמה יחד. תחשוב-כל מה שמחבר את הגלגלת לציר שלה וגורמת להם להסתובב יחד, הוא התכווצותה של המתכת- וזה מאוד חזק!! -מדהים !
